Knit for Charity
I started knitting so that I could do something meaningful while I watched tv or waited for appointments so I was drawn to knitting for those in need from the first. There are many local and national organizations that would be happy to take your hand-knitted products. Please, don't be like the woman I heard of who kept ripping out her knitting as soon as she finished because she couldn't think of anyone to give it to! If you don't know of anyone who wants your knitting, contact me and I'll help you find a suitable organization.

I would be happy to coordinate getting your hand-knit items to the following organizations:
- Operation Breakthrough needs hand-knit hats and scarves for at-risk children from infant through teens.
- The Cancer Ministry at Woods Chapel UMC needs hand-knit hats and shawls for cancer patients.
